Sebutir Intan

Saya selalu percaya bahawa kejujuran itu umpama  sebutir intan.  Sekalipun tercampak ke dalam lumpur, ia tetap intan dan berharga. Let me translate into english : " I have always belived that the truth is like jewel will always be priceles" I try to relate the truth with precious stone, as in Intan itu jika keluar dari mulut anjing sekalipun tetap intan, A jewel is still a jewel even if it comes out of a dog's mouth. This phrase mean that you have to accept the truth, regardless of the source.  This demonstrates that the speskers take elements with set metaphorical asociations in their language and use them as a means of referring to more complex concepts such as those embodied in proverbs and other traditional utterances.
